After considering the placement report of 2016 for IIT, Guwahati in biotechnology engineering branch, out of the 40 students who enrolled for placements, 32 got placed. Some core companies this visit like Biocon, Narayan Cadillac, Sun Pharma, Ranbaxy, Brenntag Industries, etc. But gave away very few offers, Also these placements were mostly considering Business Intelligence, data analytics, banking finance, marketing and other such companies due to the lack of ample of core biotechnology companies visiting the campus and thus rolled out IT based roles. Physical sciences (physics and chemistry), life sciences (microbiology and biochemistry), together with applied mathematics and economics to produce, transform, transport, and properly use chemicals materials and energy. IIT Guwahati is a top class institute and every branch of it is quite good. Here is some of the insights of the college. Intake:- 70 (chemical)
Placements:
Placements of chemical engineering is very good. Average package:- 7 LPA ( chemical )
the highest package:- 15 - 20 LPA.
