Hello, let me tell you about the placement and internship trend of IIT Guwahati. You won't believe, due to so much hype about the internships abroad, students generally intern abroad in a huge number and it is highest as compared to any other IITs. Even students in the mechanical department with "F" in their courses who got internships abroad. No, you need not. To get admission in a regular course, you need to get good marks in three subjects. A high score in the best of three subjects will make eligible to take admission.
