The only most important advantage of having a college near IT firms is that you can easily get placements with handsome package in the starting than any other college students who are not in the vicinity of the IT firms.

Hi Shambhavi, yes you are eligible for bioinformatics. You can apply in any of the colleges. Eligibility for Bachelor of Technology (Bioinformatics) is candidate must have physics, chemistry and biology as their subjects in class XII and must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate.

Eligibility: Master of Science (M.Sc) Botany/Zoology: Bachelor's degree of a University established by law in India (with the subject of study for M.Sc, as one of the subjects) in 2nd Division or with at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) or Honors in the subject concerned. Basis of Admission: The admission to these courses will be made strictly on the basis of marks obtained in the Entrance Test and shall be open to all subject to the reservation approved by the University.
