Guru Jambheshwar University of Science And Technology admissions are both merit and entrance-based. The university conducts an entrance exam to shortlist candidates for various UG and PG courses. Apart from this,  Directorate national-level entrance exams like JEE Main,  CAT, etc. for admission to specific courses. The university offers more than 50 courses at UG and PG levels in multiple streams such as Engineering, Management, Science, Arts, etc. in campus and through affiliated colleges. GJUST also has a Directorate of Distance Education to offer UG and PG courses in distance education mode.

The last year 2023 cutoff ranks for BTech courses ranged between 135587 and 262201. Out of all the specialisations, the most competitive cutoff was for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering branch. Observing the last three years cutoff trend, a huge decline appears in the closing rank of the last round for General-All India category candidates.

Candidates can check out the GJUST BTech allotment list online on its official website. The seat allotment process is carried out through HSTES counselling. The candidates get a seat based on merit/JEE score. After filling out the admission form, aspirants should wait for the cutoff list and then take part in the counselling, if they meet the cutoff marks.

The cutoff marks vary for each of the GJUST BTech specialisation. GJUST BTech JEE cutoff list is prepared as per the applicants exam scores, seat availability, and category of the candidate. A course-wise placements report has not been released by the authorities. In the 2023 placements as per an overall report, a total of 77 companies took part and selected 330 students. The highest package offered during the placements stood at INR 14.75 LPA. Some of the top companies that participated in the placements drive were IBM, Nagarro, Haldiram's, Amazon, etc.
