The R.R. Institute of Advanced studies follows a total of 5 steps during the whole admission process. The first step is the payment of an application fee of 500 by the candidates after which they receive the application form. The next step is that candidates are required to fill in personal and academic details on the application form. The third step will require students to attach certain documents, such as mark sheets, certificates, and entrance exam scores. Candidates may submit their application either online or offline. According to their merit and entrance test scores, candidates will be short-listed for further admission processes. The applications received by the Institute every year are around 500 but finally, on selection, only around 120 students are secured an MBA seat. The application process typically begins around the month of April-May each year. 

The cutoff for R.R. Institute of Advanced Studies is determined by courses and category. Admission to the MBA programme is granted based on national-level entrance test scores like CAT, MAT, and CMAT. The CAT cutoff percentile ranges from 40 to 50, MAT varies from 400 to 500, while CMAT ranges from 50 to 60. In terms of marks, the cutoff for MBA admission mostly lies between 60 and 70%. For others like MCA and BBA, the cutoff is around 50 to 60%. The cutoff marks can be different in successive years depending on the number of candidates appearing for the entrance examination and the level of difficulty in the entrance examination.
