One is supposed to have at least degree of B.Ed or higher , and it may be difficult for commerce background individuals to get in any particular teaching faculty because of commerce majorly consist of finance and management. If you have some particular qualification regarding the subject you want to be faculty of.

According to the official website, the B.A. Distance programme is not available at Kashmir University. Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have completed their 10+2 from a recognised board with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks at the 10+2 level and 45 percent are required for SC/ ST candidates. The Kashmir University entrance exam carries a weightage of 60%, and merit has a weightage of 40%. The entrance exam is for 60 marks. The final selection of a candidate is based on combined marks of the entrance test and aggregate of merit marks, which is reduced to the base of 40.
