Candidates need to pass BSc Agriculture/ BVSc & AH/ BTech Agriculture Engineering/ BSc Horticulture/ BSc Dairying/ BSc Forestry/ BSc Fisheries with at least 55% aggregate or equivalent CGPA to apply for SKUAST Jammu MBA programme. SKUAST Jammu selects candidates for MBA based on entrance exam score and merit in the last qualifying exam. Aspirants need to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline to apply for MBA. The university also accepts national-level entrance exams such as CAT, MAT and CMAT for MBA admission. Selected candidates are further called for a group discussion and personal interview round.

SKUAST Jammu conducts SKUAST-J CET for admission to MSc course. The university conducts the exam for a duration of two and a half years. The exam includes one question paper each for concerned major subject group. The paper include 150 multiple-choice questions, each with four options. For correct answer 1 mark is given and for incorrect answer -¼ mark is deducted.
