The Central University of Jammu allows around 150-170 students in the whole B.Tech department.Additionally, specific B.Tech programs at the university have a limited number of seats, for example, the B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering programme has 60 seats available.

The MBA placements at Central University of Kashmir is good with a median salary of INR 2.80- INR 3.24 LPA with the highest package being that of INR 22 LPA. Nearly, 60%-70% of students can placement opportunities at top MNCs through the college.An increase in the 5 percent rate have been seen compared to last year placements. The first year cost of most B.Tech specialisations is between 60,000 and 70,000 INR. The costs for the following years will be higher than for the first. Different B.Tech specialisations, such computer Science engineering, may have different cost structures than civil engineering.There may be additional costs for exam fees, hostel accommodations, and other expenses. According to the NIRF report, 41 UG, 41 PG, and 25 Integrated PG students were placed during Central University of Kashmir placements 2023. The highest package offered to UG students ranged between INR 3.80 LPA and INR 14 LPA. For PG (1-year) and PG (2-year) courses, the highest package offered was INR 5.40 LPA and INR 7.60 LPA, respectively.
