There are many enticing companies that usually visit and take part in the campus placement at the National Institute of Technology, Srinagar. Some of the top recruiting companies at NIT Srinagar are Optum, ICICI Bank, Infosys, HCL, Honda, HP, Indian Oil, Reliance, IBM, Vedanta, and many more. For CSE and IT placements, NIT Srinagar has a 100% success rate, and for mechanical, electrical, electronic, and communication placements, it has a 90% success rate. The average salary package offered during placements was INR 13 LPA, and the highest package was INR 22 LPA.

The food in the Hostel was always healthy, fresh and good. We also have a canteen in the university, which is small and the food items available are also fewer, but the food is really good. and affordable. In case you don't want to eat mess food you can always rely on canteen food.

Prepare yourself for 10's of tests (Unit Tests) in a week almost 3-4 tests are conducted. Attend your classes regularly. If you fail to keep your attendance over the absolute limit, you can be debarred from appearing in examinations. Try to collect your syllabus as soon as possible. Talk to your teachers and ask them for book recommendations. Students of IMBA and BALLB are required to wear uniforms abide by the dress code recommended.

There is generally no restriction in any type of dress code although formal dress code is appreciated. You can we anything depending upon your choice and making sure you are maintaining the decorum of the university. Students of IMBA and BALLB are required to wear uniforms.

The student life in Central University Of Kashmir is cool. There is no examination pressure because examinations are conducted in time. The teachers are good and friendly. I had the best college life. The teachers are kind and supportive. They are filled with positive energy and have good teaching skills. The management is very good.

Yes, Both PGs and Hostels are available for both Girls and boys near Central University Of Kashmir at reasonable prices. You can find good market and street food to eat the are a good to stay and is also very pocket friendly.

Candidates must have passed B.Tech/ B.E. with 55% marks (50% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD) or equivalent CGPA/ Grade from a recognized university for getting admission into the M.Tech program at the Central University of Kashmir. M.Tech programs at Kashmir University is based on the GATE scores followed by counselling.
