Candidates need to pass BSc or BCA from a recognised university with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the papers with at least 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA (55% aggregate or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates). Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. Besides, aspirants also need to pass NIMCET for MCA admission.

Aspirants as a sponsored candidate need to complete bachelor's degree of four-years in Science/ Engineering/ Technology with at least 60% aggregate or equivalent CGPA of 6.5 out of 10 to apply for M.Tech course. Such aspirants must be in regular service for at least two years prior to applying. Candidates must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. Besides, aspirants also need to have a valid GATE score for admission.

NIT Jamshedpur and NIT Raipur both accept NIMCET entrance scores for admission to the MCA course. Talking about the NIMCET cutoff 2024, NIT Jamshedpur is more competitive than Raipur.
