National Institute of Technology Master of Computer Applications Common Entrance Test (NIMCET), which is followed by central counselling is conducted for admission to MCA course. Aspirants who have passed graduation can apply for NIT Jamshedpur MCA programme.

Candidates need to pass BSc or BCA from a recognised university with Mathematics or Statistics as one of the papers with at least 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA (55% aggregate or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates).
