The cutoff trend for BTech at IIT Kanpur has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for BTech under General category for all India quota was 4649. In 2023, it decreased to 4344. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 2034 to 2208 for OBC, 1281 to 1139 for SC, 678 to 706 for ST, 762 to 758 for EWS. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

IIT Kanpur - Indian Institute of Technology will release 6 rounds of JEE Advanced cutoffs for admission to BTech in Civil Engineering. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:The JEE Advanced score of the candidateThe category of the candidateThe number of seats available in the courseCandidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released.

For 2023, cut off was 2940 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering in IIT Kanpur - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 6999 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

In 2023, it decreased to 1349. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 696 to 788 for OBC, 410 to 581 for SC, 269 to 202 for ST, 287 to 279 for EWS, 109 to 169 for PWD. This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

IIT Kanpur BTech cutoff 2024 has been released across multiple specialisations. Based on the Round 1 seat allotment, the BTech cutoff scores ranged between 248 and, 10037 for the General AII India category students. Among all the BTech specialisations, BTech in CSE is the most competitive specialisation. The Last Round for Computer Science and Engineering is 248 for the General AI category.Furthermore, according to IIT Kanpur OBC AI category cutoff 2024, the Last Round closing rank for Computer Science and Engineering is 129. The highest package offered during HBTU Kanpur placement 2023 was INR 17.5 LPA whereas the highest package offered at MMMUT was INR 42 LPA. Similarly, the average package offered at HBTU Kanpur was INR 8.82 LPA whereas the average package offered at MMMUT was INR 7 LPA in 2023. Moreover. the fee for an MBA course at Harcourt Butler Technical University is around INR 1.2 lakh, whereas the fee for an MBA at Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology is around INR 2.4 lakh.

During HBTU Kanpur placements 2022, the average package offered was INR 8.7 LPA. The top recruiters of HBTU during 2023 placements included Technip Energies, ExxonMobil, EXL Service, Hero MotoCorp, Cargill, Jubilant Ingrevia, Samsung Engineering, Evalueserve, TCS, Pie Infocomm Pvt. Ltd., Western Union, Optum, etc. The Placement percentage was 95.83%.
