Alagappa University MBA course admission is entrance-based. Aspirants can participate in the entrance exam conducted by the university or national-level exams. Some of the national-level exams accepted by the university are CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/CMAT/TANCET. Alagappa University conducts an entrance exam to select candidates for B.Ed programme. The entrance test is conducted at Karaikudi only. Once the results are out, aspirants are selected based on their score in the entrance exam. The university then offers seats to the selected candidates.

The passing minimum marks in Alagappa University exam is 40% out of 25/15 marks in theory papers. A minimum of 40% out of 40/10* marks is required in practical exams. The passing minimum for university exams shall be 40% out of 75/ 60*marks for Theory papers and 40% out of 60/40* marks) for Practical papers.
