Alagappa University allot seats on a merit-basis to the UG programme. It follows the reservation policy prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. There are 5% of seat reservation for the differently-abled students (Government Letter No.12599/K2/2017-1, dated 21.07.2017). Alagappa University has not released a concise placements report for the BCom placed students. As per the NIRF report 2024 of the university, 61 UG (3-year) students were placed, out of 216. Moreover, the median package offered to the students stood at INR 1.27 LPA. Some of the top companies that participate in its placements drive are TCS, Cognizant, ICICI Bank, Wipro, etc.
