University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kurukshetra University has below criteria for taking admissions to it's various courses: CoursesEligibilityB.E. / B.TechCandidate must have passed Diploma in Engineering/ Technology (relevant stream) with at least 45% marks in aggregate of all semesters (42.75% in case of SC students).
Candidates who have completed B.Sc. in relevant field with at least 45% marks in aggregate (42.75% in case of SC students) with Physics and Math as a major subject are also eligible to apply.M.E./M.TechCandidates who have completed M.Sc. in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics or M.C.A. from a recognised UGC approved university/ institution with minimum 50% aggregate marks (minimum 47.5% aggregate marks for SC/ST candidates) can also apply.

To get admission in NIT Kurukshetra, candidates need to have a valid JEE Main score. The institute conducts counseling based on JEE Main scores, and the cutoff for JEE Main can be quite high. It's important to score well in JEE Main and meet the institute's eligibility criteria to be considered for admission. The NIT Kurukshetra cutoff 2023 for BTech courses varied between 8104 and 45868 in the last round, with BTech in CSE being the most competitive specialization.
