Being a private college, the Himalayan Institute of Technology and Management (HITM) established at Lucknow needs no introduction. The institute is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, UP and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. HITM is affiliated to the Himalayan Public School Samiti and provides undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes particularly in the fields of engineering and technology, business management and computer applications.Being a private university, HITM's source of finance and administration is the governing trust as opposed to the governmental arrangements. He said that its major target audiences are students aspiring to pursue technical and management education in UP with relatively affordable fees as compared to other private colleges of UP. 

Getting admission in Saroj Institute of Technology and Management, SITM, is relatively moderate. For B.E./B.Tech courses, it usually demands 10+2 with required percentage scores in relevant subjects from candidates. However, the majority of students are admitted here on the basis of entrance exams like UPSEE; but for others, there are management quota provisions for admissions, in case one doesn't clear an entrance exam.
