Yes, in some circumstances the Lucknow Institute of Technology (LIT) will offer direct admission. If we are talking about B.Tech. courses, high school graduates with the compulsory subjects may use management quota seats, whereupon direct admission will be the case, with no need for the entrance exam to take place. Winning entrance exam admissions through relatives remains the main criterion but other ways include the meeting of the minimum pass mark of an examination. As for Master's programs (such as M.Tech and MBA), direct admissions are also considered on the basis of merit or management quota. LIT official website and the admissio

In addition, a few scholarships are being offered under government schemes where the categories for underprivileged students, educationally backward tribes, etc., are specified in such cases. Lucknow Institute of Technology (LIT) offers majorly B.Tech admissions based on JEE Main scores, which is the primary basis for seat allotment. Apart from that, the institute also accepts scores from the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE), which has been merged with JEE Main for state engineering admissions. Candidates with good academic background can also opt for direct admission if they are eligible. Contact the LIT admission office for confirmation of the entrance exams accepted in the course and any score cutoff; entry requirements can change over the years.

Both, JMI Lucknow and JMI Noida are good for MBA/ PGDM courses. Management courses present at both institutes have the same course contents, have good faculty, and centralised placements. However, if we compare the recent ranking of NIRF for its MBA courses, JMI Noida ranked 45 by NIRF 2024, and JMI Lucknow stood at 72 by NIRF 2024.The ranking difference can be seen in both of the JMIs but the placement packages offered to MBA students are similar by both institutes. Otherwise, candidates can choose any of the institutes according to their location, and other important preferences.
