The NAAC has awarded NITTE Mangalore an A+ grade, making it a prestigious private university. Located in the bustling city of Mangalore in Karnataka, India, NITTE Mangalore offers a broad range of 74 PG, UG, and several other courses throughout its colleges. Premier private university Nitte University was founded in 1979. NMIT is an autonomous institution associated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, which was founded in 2001 by Nitte Education Trust (NET) in Mangalore. NMIT has received approval from the AICTE in New Delhi and has an A+ grade from the NBA and NAAC.

NIT Surathkal is a public/government college. It was established in 1956. It is ranked 26th under the engineering category according to NIRF 2023. For taking admission in NIT Surathkal JEE Mains is taken by the candidate and the admission is based on the merit list released by the college. The Cut offf for taking admission in the NIT Surathkal falls under 24400 for general category and cutt off for SC/ST Category is around 2300, and for OBC Category it falls under 23500. IN 6th cut off rounds the last cutt off range was 2362. So, There are less chances that one can get admision with the rank between 23000-24000

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Karnataka, Surathkal provides a two-year full-time MBA programme. The PG course admission process is entrance-based. Applicants may apply if they have a valid CAT score. It is one of India's most esteemed institutions. The institute offers top-notch instruction thanks to its highly skilled teachers and outstanding academic offerings. At the end of the 2021–22 MBA placement drive, 76% of students were placed. It's true that there is a spike in the cutoff rank of the NITK Surathkal in 2023. As the number of seat allocation has decreased and the priority of the college and the course to be opted has increased. And an another reason as in  the previous times there used to be separate exams for both IIT and NIT, but now. there is a joint allocation of seats for the IITs and NITs so as seat blocking has spiked the cutoff rank to gain the students with great knowledge.

The NIT Suratkhal offers MSc in physics and chemistry specialisations. The duration of the course is full time for the entire 2 years .The average package after the course being INR 7.10 Lacs per annum. NIT Surathkal is one of the best engineering institutes in the country. In 2023, NIRF has ranked it 12 under the 'Engineering' category. NIT Surathkal has increased its intake capacity due to various factors, but it has not impacted the quality of education and the placement opportunities offered at the institute. During the 2023 placements, NIT Surathkal witnessed a 93% placement rate for its BTech students. Further, the highest and average package offered to the BTech students stood at INR 54.75 LPA and INR 18.26 LPA, respectively.
