NIT Surathkal will releases 6-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to BTech in CSE. The cutoffs are released on a rolling basis, and the seats are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs are based on the following factors: The JEE Main score of the candidate The category of the candidate The number of seats available in the course Candidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released.

As per NIT Surathkal cutoff 2023, the Last Round closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering has increased compared to the previous year. The Last Round closing rank for General AI category students for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was 2302, while for the General Home State category students, the Last Round closing rank was 3751. The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Artificial Intelligence at NIT Surathkal - National Institute of Technology other than the General category are - 5235 for OBC, 330 for SC, 151 for ST, 3821 for EWS. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
