The institute has a well-organised placement team headed by the Associate Director, three Assistant Directors, and faculty and student coordinators from each department. The student body comprising Placement Secretaries from the Student Council and other support teams, provides seamless support to the BA students in the placement process. Manipal Institute of Communication provides placements to BA and other course students. Some of the top recruiters for MIC placements are Times Group, India Today, CNN, Amazon, and BBC. Many other good companies other than those stated above were also included. The placement packages offered by these companies were also good. 13 LPA was the highest package which was offered to the students. The average package of UG was 3.5LPA respectively.

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) conducts Manipal Entrance Test (MET) annually to select candidates for admission into their participating campuses. Applicants must have passed Class 12 with a 45% aggregate score in any stream to be eligible for admission. Yes, Manipal Institute of Communication offers a year BA programme and a four-year BA (Hons) programme in Media and Communication. For admission to BA courses, candidates have to ensure that they are fulfilling the eligibility criteria i.e. Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 45%. Additionally, candidates have to appear for the MET entrance exam. The last decision of the college for admission to the BA programme is based on the scores secured in the MET entrance examination.
