Yes, if we talk about National Institute of Meghalaya, there are few kind of scholarship available, basically it depends on the category from which you belong . If you are from SC or ST category you don't need to pay any tuition fee you just have to pay hostel and mess, and apart from that, you will get government scholarship from various scheme as per my knowledge what my friends are getting is around 60-70 thousand per year so from that only you can pay your college fee. If you are from general or OBC category then it depends on your family income, if your family is making less than 2 Lacs you don't have to pay tuition fees

We are having a letter grading system it goes like for the grading of the students based on the performance as per the evaluation scheme and Later Grades shall be awarded. The faculty awards the grades with the highest grade SA then AA, AB and it goes like that. In National Institute of Technology Meghalaya if we talk about internal exam it consist of assignment, viva, class test 1, class test2, and mid term examination. As we are university so there is no such terms like internal and external examinations. Marking scheme
2 class test 30 marks
2 assignment 20 marks
mid term examination 50 marks and end term examination 100
overall 200 marks in which 70 is mandatory if suppose you missed some of the exams they these are the process

Hostel facilities are not bad but not too good it depends upon several factors that from where you are if you are from home state Meghalaya itself its quite good but if you are from other states the food be little problem to you, other factors if you consider you will get wi-fi, water purifier is there, geysers are there, electricity is available most of the times. In a room nearly 2-3 peoples are sitting. Currently its operating from a temporary campus so all hostels are not at the same place for every course like Ph.D. M.Sc.
