There is not a big difference between these two. Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC) has three campuses. Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landra (2001), Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Gharuan (2009), Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Jhangeri. After that CGC-Gharuan is transformed to Chandigarh University, Gharuan. Now, it's affiliated to University Grant Commission (UGC). Now, it's independent entity. Have its own courses and curriculum. But placement is joint.

Try in some private colleges through management quota. There are many colleges which take students directly through management quota.
Good luck!!
