It could be better as you will get some good facilities and more opportunities due to the fact that you are in a government college. If you are concerned with your studies then it could be better than the state colleges. You will definitely get problems regarding infrastructure. But then you have to choose according to your priorities.

Go for Osmania University if you don't want in the NE states. Osmania University is all good in terms of many aspects and comparable to NITs of NE.
First of all, every college is good. Everything depends on the students and how he/she is. Thus as per the question, my answer will be if you choose NIT, then go for Agartala or Silchar, else choose OSMANIA University.

1) Eligibility criteria - Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with minimum 55% marks in aggregate.
2) selection process will be on merit based
3) Aspirants looking for admission in the University can apply in offline mode. They are required to download the form online through the official website or can collect personally from any of the study centers. Here are the steps to apply:
a) Visit the official website.
b) Candidates have to download the form for which they want to apply.
c) Fill up the application form.

Hi Neinuo,
It is very difficult to get in NIT with this score. Because, the cut offs for NITs go very high every year. There is a quota for residents of the same state in that NIT. You can try.
