It is a bachelor's programme in medicine followed by a duration of 4.5 years and an internship of 1 year. The first two academic years mainly focus on basic medical Science and interdepartmental integration as well as community correlation. The eligibility criteria is a minimum of 50% in 12th. The candidate must be at least above 17 years of age. He must have 10+2 years of education or Intermediate of Science (I.Sc) or equivalent, with English, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as main subjects and having secured not less than 50% marks in the subjects mentioned above put together and an overall aggregate of 50%.

Yes, my Campus life is better at Manipal College of Medical Science than staying Off Campus. Student hostels are 100% residential and available to the students. There are separate hostels for men and women. Students will also get a roommate with furniture and other amenities like geysers for hot water. Housekeeping and laundry are also available.The hostels are looked after by the Hostel Committee headed by the Director of Student Affairs. He functions with the help of Wardens and Administration. The hostel staff consists of caretakers/supervisors, other attendants, and maintenance staff. So it can be considered to be a safe and better choice for the students.
