If you are from medium class family and you really want to enjoy a college life and a good, then I will prefer ICFAI Dehradun. Let me describe in some positive and -negative points to make you easier.
Good faculty members: many of faculty members are very supportive and their teaching way is really great. Infrastructure: it's moderate, a small campus (not a movie like campus) but yes good with a beautiful view of snow mountains. Placement: IT totally depends on you. For Tier 1 and 2 institutes: The CMAT cutoff percentile for PGDM admission in Tier 1 and 2 institutes is generally in the range of 80-85 percentile.

I am afraid you would not get the CSE seat here, but I had suggest you consider getting the IT course which closes at 90000 to 10000 cutoff and the syllabus / placement is pretty much similar to that of the CSE course. I had suggest you go through this article below, written by the HOD of our CS department.

As a student of Lovely Professional University both the university are great at their places. But in my point of view studying in LPU is much better because of their Ranking, education, placement, generation and infrastructure in each component LPU is better.
