The AAFT MA registration fee is INR 20,600. This is a one-time refundable deposit. It will be refunded after deducting the application processing fee. Candidates have to pay this registration fee at the time they submit their application form. However, the above fee has been taken from the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to change and, hence, is indicative.

The application process for AAFT MA is divided into various steps. Candidates have to fill out the form, which can be accessed on the official website. Students have to appear for the AAFT GEE entrance examination. Those students who qualify will be eligible to undergo the personal interview round. The selected candidates have to finalise the whole admission procedure which includes the admission fee and producing all important documents. This is a structured approach because it carefully and systematically examines each candidate's suitability for the programme.

The admission process for international applicants in the AAFT MA course does not differ much from that of local candidates. The Admissions Department judges all applicants on the merit basis of the information provided within their applications. International applicants must have completed their mandatory education in their country and must have a working knowledge of the English language at the time of application. Although the requirements for documentation are universal for all who apply, international students must be able to satisfy other requirements by AAFT for a smooth admission process.

No, students cannot make a partial payment to confirm their seat in the postgraduate course at AAFT. The shortlisted candidates are required to pay the full first-semester fee with all the applicable academic security fees by the date mentioned in the admission letter. This way all those financial commitments can be cleared in advance, ensuring a hassle-free admission process. Applications are done based on the payment deadlines determined in the admission documents.

Yes, students can provisionally apply for the AAFT MA programme without the results of Class 12 or final-year graduation. However, they must submit all original mark sheets and degrees at admission. The provisional application process allows candidates to join the programme until their final results are announced. Candidates must ensure they fulfil all the eligibility criteria and present the necessary documents before the admission deadline.

The basis of seat allotment in MA programmes offered at AAFT is primarily based on the performance of candidates in the entrance exams. The total number of available seats is 360, with each specialisation allocated 60 seats. Candidates need to qualify with any marks to get admission through the entrance exams. The allotment is based on the performance in the selection round, and thus only the qualified students get to take the seats, which means that the academic environment of a certain programme remains competitive and high quality in nature.

The seat allotments at AAFT for the MA course have been divided fairly across different specialisations for the current academic year 2024. Each and every speciality has 60 seats, ensuring that every one of the programmes is given equal opportunities to induct students. Seat allotments are purely on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the selection round, and therefore, only the most deserving get into each specialism. This actually makes it competitive while also taking care of different interests that may be present in the media and arts fields.
