Eligible candidates need to appear for the written test conducted by the Sambalpur University. Candidates are selected based on the scores in written test and previous academic records.
Selection parameters and weightages:
Written Test:- 70%
Career:- 30%
Furthermore, if the number of applicants is less than the number of seats then only academic merit is considered during admission. Interested candidates can apply online/ offline with the required information.

Well, it varies every year, as said in the previous answers, it was good in the year 2011, 2012, 2013 but, 2014 was the worst. Again, 2015 and 2016 batch got around 80%-85% placement. I belong to the 32nd batch (2017). In our batch, placement ratio again fell down. Till now, it is only around 50%. The major recruiter TCS hired only 76 students, which used to be above 150. Then, Tech-Mahindra took 24, and many of the CSE and ETC students recruited by other small IT companies. As far as core sector is concerned, it is Vendat Allumina, Jharsuguda that took 18 students and Bhushan Power and Steel, Sambalpur took 39 students. JK papers and
