Currently, Berhampur University has limited hostel accommodation for boys and girls. Students wishing to get hostel accommodation need to apply to the concerned Head of the Department for admission into the hostel at the time of submission of original documents. Hostel seats are allotted to bonafide admitted students based on merit list of the respective courses.

No, Berhampur University does not offer direct admission. Candidates are first required to apply for the course of their choice and then participate in the selection rounds. The university considers CPET score for admission to PG courses. For MPharm, OJEE score is considered for admission. Besides, the selection for MSc Biotechnology is based on GAT-B score. Aspirants qualifying any of the accepted entrance exams are offered admission in the university.

There are a total of 226 seats for the BSc integrated and BSc (Hons) courses at the Central University of Odisha. The maximum seat count, i.e., 69 seats each is for the Agriculture and Animal Husbndary and Dairying courses. Then there are 44 seats each for forest management and the BSc + MSc integrated course.
