Yes, IIM Sambalpur is a government institute. IIM Sambalpur was established in 2015 by the Government of India. It was granted the status of 'Institution of National Importance' by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India. The institute is governed by a board of governors appointed by the Government of India. The permanent campus of IIM Sambalpur is being constructed on 237 acres of land allotted by the Government of Odisha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the permanent campus in January 2021 and inaugurated it in February 2024.

NIT Trichy and NIT Rourkela are one of the best B.Tech institutions present in India. Both of them have good infrastructures and offer a great experience to students through student and faculty exchange programmes. The placements are great in both the institutes and both the universities offer scholarships to various course students. The faculty is good at NIT Trichy and NIT Rourkela. So which one is the best university depends on what the person is searching for in a particular college or institute.
