Candidate can join Sambalpur University by National Level Entrance Examination with a minimum 10+2 eligibility criteria.For MBA admissions minimum eligibility criteria is MAT, CAT, TANCET, XAT, ATMA, Karnatka PGCET and many more. For Bsc admission a student has to give NCHMCT, JEE, TSBIE etcand for MSC admissions here in this college a studnent can give GAT, ISC etc

The placements for Sambalpur University is very good. 71 ug students got placed and 798 pg students got placed. The median package offered was Rs 2.8 Lakh per annum and in PG it was 6.6 Lakh per annum. If we compare the placement rate of 2021 with 2022 both years was almost same.

Central University of Orissa has no permanent building for classroom and laboratories. 24x7 wifi facility is available. Placements in university are less than 50%, but compared to other universities in Orissa it is better. The teaching faculty is good and very helpful to the students.Central University of Orissa seems to be a good institution for learning, but it does not provide placement opportunities.
