Core courses are compulsory for all participants and contain more than 50 percent of the total curriculum. Yes, there are hostel buildings on campus. The institute's campus has three hostel buildings, two for boys and one for girls. Rooms are given to IIM Sambalpur students on a twin-sharing basis. The rooms are adequately ventilated and nicely furnished, with each student receiving a bed, almirah, mattress, study tables, and chairs. The cleaning crew is in charge of keeping the rooms clean on a daily basis. High-speed Wi-Fi is now available across the campus and may be accessed from any location. Each hostel also features a separate common area with a TV and table tennis amenities to meet the students' recreational needs.

The temporary campus of IIM Sambalpur is located between hills and farmlands, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Students at IIM Sambalpur run a number of student committees and clubs. Students spend their leisure time playing Cricket, Badminton and TT; visiting Sambalpur city in search of alternative cuisine; catching a movie at the last minute; or simply taking long walks in and around the campus. The B.Tech course at VSSUT is of a total duration of 4 years. it provides you with a undergraduate degree after the completion of your 4 year course. The total tuition fees they charge for an year is 1.83 lakh. you can also try and grab your seat with lesser fees if you have a reserved background or you can as well wait for the CAP round to come to its last round if have slightly lesser percentage, this probably would not give you any concession in fees, but can help you reserve your seat granted by the merit quota.
