Candidates are eligible to apply for MSc in Biotechnology if they have a BSc (Agriculture)/(Horticulture) degree from a recognised university by State and Central Government with a 6.5 OGPA and 7.0 GPA in the concerned discipline on 10 points scale (5.5 OGPA and 6.0 GPA for SC/ST/PH). Yes, SOA offers B.Tech in CSE. The basic eligibility criteria to be able to apply for B.Tech in CSE programme is that the candidate should have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics, with one of the following subjects of Biology/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Information technology/ Biotechnology/ Informatics/ Statistics/ Technical Vocational subjects with 45% aggregate (40% SC/ST/OBC). The total tuition fee ranges from INR 5.10 Lacs to INR 10.20 Lacs. Candidates need to secure good scores in JEE Mains or the SAAT entrance exam to be able to get a seat at SOA.

Here is a general overview of how CGPA is calculated:Each course or subject is assigned a specific number of credit hours and a corresponding letter grade based on the student's performance. The most common grading scale used is the 10-point scale, to calculate the CGPA, the grade points earned in each course are multiplied by the corresponding credit hours. These (credit hours multiplied by grade points) are divided by the total credit hours for all courses to arrive at the CGPA. CGPA provides an overall measure of a student's academic performance throughout his studies.

DASA UG scheme is carried out for admission to the BTech and B.Arch programmes offered by NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded and various other Premier Technical Institutes in India. Admission to the BTech course for most of the NITs are done through JEE Main and no other entrance examination scores are accepted by the authorities. For outside India candidates, (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) DASA UG is accepted by the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela for admission. There are limited seats available for the students so apply early. Those students who are applying for admission through JEE Main must keep an eye on JEE Main exam dates and JEE Main admit card release dates.

NIT Rourkela has a very big campus. The National Institute of Technology, Rourkela has various classrooms, hostels, a library, and cafeterias. Some of the other campus facilities include:
-Hostel facilities for boys and girls
-Central Library
-Sports facilities
-Canteens and swimming pool
-Shopping and health centre
-Guest houses.

Yes, the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela offers B.Tech-M.Tech (Dual Degree) courses in various specialisations for five-year each. One can take admission to the undergraduate programmes (B.Tech, Dual Degree B.Tech & M.Tech, B.Arch and Integrated M.Sc. At the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela only through CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) after qualifying for JEE Main examination of the same year. No other means of admission is available at NIT Rourkela (National Institute of Technology, Rourkela). .
