RGNUL provides scholarships to meritorious or financially-weak students. The university offers Foundation for Excellence Scholarship. However, students can also apply for scholarships offered by state or central government. Some of the scholarships available to students are the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for Scheduled Caste Students, the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top Class Education for Scheduled Tribe Students, and other need-based scholarships.

Thapar University follows a typical class schedule with lectures and labs running from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays. The usual class timings are:Morning session: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AMAfternoon session: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PMThere is a 1-hour lunch break from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The bad news is that Punjabi University, Patiala, does not offer a BA in Film and TV Production.The strong point of the university's presence in the field of media studies has been through its Centre for Advanced Media Studies. Yet, the undergraduate course being offered is B.A. (Hons.) in Journalism, Mass Communication, and Media Technology. The entire tuition charge for BA courses ranges from INR 25,560 to INR 4.12 lacs. Punjabi University provides a BA. In a variety of humanities and languages. Candidates seeking admission to these courses must meet the basic eligibility criteria. The essential requirements are that the candidate have passed Class 12 with at least 50 percent aggregate marks in any discipline. The selection will be based on the 70/30 ratios. The qualifying examination will be given 70% weightage, with the aptitude test/audition/interview receiving 30%.
