Well if done from a good premium college it does hold same value. But generally full time 2year Mba course is far difficult to get in from top30 coll list. So it naturally holds more demand and has far better salary offered.

The trends of dual courses are not so good nor reputed meanwhile u need to concentrate both on Your B.Tech n MBA so its advised to go gor B.Tech first then MBA .

These are too many. Would suggest him to take up a masters program in India, do well and then probably try for a second masters from Australia.

3) Course Material,
4) Quality Education,
5) Fees
6) Infrastructure
7) Success Rate.
8) Placement
9) Top recruiting companies.
Also, if possible go through the alumni speak section to get an idea what the alumni thinks about the institute.
