The university offers BA LLB course admission based on the CLAT 2024 score. The total number of seats offered through CLAT 2024 are 214 seats. For admission to BA LLB (Hons) course at RGNUL candidates have to register through CLAT portal. Registered candidates for CLAT 2024 counselling will be called by RGNUL through five provisional merit lists, each released by the Consortium of CLAT. Candidates, who have been allocated a seat in the provisional lists and applied for revision, should check the status of their seat in the CLAT provisonal lists.

To get admission to RGNUL BA LLB course, candidates need to apply through CLAT 2024. The application fee for CLAT exam is different as per the category of a candidate. For General/OBC/PWD/PIO/OCI/NRI, the application fee is INR 4,000 and for SC/ST/BPL category, the application fee is INR 3,500. Extra charges of INR 500 are applicable if candidates want to obtain previous years' CLAT question papers from the exam authority. Apart from CLAT application fee and cost of question paper bundle, candidates need not pay any other charges.

Candidates need to fill out the CLAT application form for Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law BA LLB (Hons) and LLM courses. The registration for CLAT opens in July and go on till November. Besides, the university opens application for PhD from February. Candidates have to apply on the university website for admission. The application form for PG Diploma course is available from April.

Candidates seeking admission to RGNUL have to apply through CLAT counseling process. For admission to one-year LLM or five-year LLB at RGNLU Patiala, the CLAT test will be conducted on Dec 3, 2023. Aspirants of RGNLU Patiala are required to appear for the exam in offline pen-paper mode at the allotted test centres.
