Patna University BSc does not take any entrance exam. The admission in the programme takes place through the merit secured in the class 12 exams. Once the results of the class 12 exams are out a merit list is released by the university for admissions. Candidates with names on the list can secure admission into the university after completing the document verification and paying some amount of the tuition fee.

Patna University BSc admission start after Class 12 exams of recognised boards end. Candidates who want to apply for admission at the university can apply after they have given their Class 12 exams. There are no additional entrance exams necessary for admission into the programme, once Class 12 results are out candidates are provided with provisional admission at the university. Candidates have to pay some amount of the tuition fees to finalise their admission.

If a candidate has a minimum aggregate of 45% in Class 12 then they are eligible for admission in the Patna University BSc programme. Candidates are selected on the basis of the merit secured in their Class 12 exam. Patna University provides BSc admission in its main campus as well as through multiple affiliated colleges. Therefore, candidates have multiple colleges if they want to apply for BSc admission at the university and each college has a different cutoff.

No, it is not tough to get into the BSc programme at Patna University, as the admission is through the merit secured in Class 12 exams. In addition to that Patna University has multiple affiliated colleges that provide admission in the BSc programme. Therefore, candidates taking admission into the university or any affiliated college will be eligible for admission if they have secure atleast 45% in their Class 12.

Patna University BSc admission take place through the merit secured in Class 12 examinations. Candidates appearing for their Class 12 board exams can apply for admission into the programme once they have appeared for the exam. Once the results of the exams are announced candidates are provided with provisional admission. Admission is only finalised when the candidate has done the document verification and some amount of the tuition fee is paid.

The university hasn't released its data for 2024 placements but according to NIRF report for 2024, 120 UG (3-year) students were placed during Patna University placements in 2023. The median package for UG (3-year) courses stood at INR 3.50 LPA. Therefore, a decent student can have a net positive return on investment at the university given the tuition fees of the BA programme is INR 31,500.

If we compare the three universities based on BA courses offered we will see that, Magadh University offers the most amount of BA courses. Patna University offers only 66 seats in its BA programme but Magadh University provides 360 BA courses. This is due to the fact that Magadh University has more affiliated colleges for the BA programme than Patna University. If we look at TMBU, the university also provides 300 seats for its BA programme.
