No, you can't take direct admission to B.Des at the National Institute of Fashion Technology Patna.BDes at NIFT Patna is offered in four different specialisations and they are, Accessories Design, Fashion Communication, Fashion Design and Textile Design. The duration of the course is four years and admission to NIFT Patna BDes is done through the NIFT Entrance exam.NIFT Entrance Exam is divided into three parts i.e. Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT) and Situation Test/ Group Discussion, and Personal Interview (GD and PI) round. Candidates planning to pursue BDes are required to appear for CAT and GAT exams followed by the Situation Test.To be eligible for NIFT Patna BDes, candidates must have passed class 12 or equivalent from a recognised board and his/ her age should be less than 24 years as of 1st Aug of the year of admission.
