Patna University has a total of 10 constituent colleges. Patna University through its 31 departments, constituent colleges and 4 other institutes offers a wide array of UG, PG, diploma, certificate and doctoral level programmes in the fields of Science, Education, Humanities, Law, Commerce, and many other streams. Candidates need to complete Class 12 to apply for UG programmes. A minimum of graduation is required to apply for PG programmes.

Under this scheme, 2500 scholarships are offered to eligible differently-abled students pursuing professional, technical or postgraduate programme from a recognised institute.
