There are many technical events that happen at Desh Bhagat University. These include all kinds of fields of study. Following are a few of the events that are happening or have happened this year, just to give you an idea:NEP ki samajh: This is a short Video Competition on Implementation of NEP 2020.The competition is hosted with an aim to encourage young people to tap into their creativity to compose and submit short videos about their experiences with NEP. ISRO Start Program: This is a space Science and technology awareness training by SPO & ISRO. This is conducted for generating human resources in the country in the fields of space Science and technology and it is a course of lectures from scientists from ISRO/DOS, IISc, IIA, IIG, TIFR, IISER. Monthly Innovation Challenge: A challenge to increase the Creativity and innovation in the students of the university. The best 3 ideas and the best women led teams get to win 10,000 rupees. Anveshan : North Zone Convention for AIU. Every year, the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) hosts Anveshan: Student Research Convention, an innovative programme aimed at discovering and supporting the research abilities of young scholars in India. These conventions take place in five geographical regions (north, east, west, south, and central), as well as at the national level.1st International Conference of Anatomy (NZSOA 2023): The focal point of NZSOA-2023 was the theme "Living Anatomy in the 21st Century: An Emerging Trend in Health Sciences." This theme presented a fantastic opportunity for undergraduate and postgraduate students, research scholars, medical academicians, health professionals, and diagnostic consultants to come together and exchange innovative ideas. The event provided a dynamic platform for live interactions with esteemed speakers, allowing participants to gather insights, enhance their knowledge, and put these novel concepts into practice. It was an enriching academic celebration. 

Except studies, possibly the most important part of college life are the cultural events and fests. Desh Bhagat University has several clubs for performing arts, community service, clubs, governance, student councils, music and media. There are events related to these clubs that are organised. Apart from that, there is a Cultural Activities Committee, that overlooks the cultural events of the university. Some examples of the cultural events include poster making competition related to current issues, world theatre day, tourism week, Van mahotsav.DBUZZ is a three day youth festival celebrated to commemorate the foundation of the university. Many celebrities also come as guests. The School of Business Management & Commerce, Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, hosted the National Management Day “Fiesta Corporativa” in association with the Mission of Excellence Club. to inculcate corporate culture among the students. Desh Bhagat University had organised its first India International Cultural Fest in 2013 on its campus. As per the university authorities, more than 200 students from countries like Ghana, Ivory Coast, Iran, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Kenya, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan had participated in the festival.In conclusion, Desh Bhagat university has several events that you can enjoy. 

Desh Bhagat University's hostel mess has proper cleanliness and commitment to hygiene. The mess ensures that students receive three main meals a day, that is, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, in a safe and healthy environment. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are available, allowing students to enjoy meals according to their personal choices.While the taste may not match that of home-cooked meals, the university places emphasis on providing satisfactory quality. The kitchen staff and chefs work diligently, using fresh ingredients to enhance flavor and nutritional value.In summary, Desh Bhagat University's hostel mess maintains cleanliness and offers a variety of meals to cater to students' preferences. 

Admission to BTech courses in India is typically based on the scores of the Joint Entrance Examination Main and JEE Advanced, followed by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling. JEE Main is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate engineering programmes in IIITs. JEE Advanced is the second stage of JEE and the gateway to the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology. Candidates who qualify for JEE Main with good rank are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. After the JEE Main and JEE Advanced examinations, JoSAA counselling is conducted for admission to IITs. This is a centralised counselling process for the allocation of seats in these institutions based on the scores of JEE Main and JEE Advanced. During the counselling process, candidates can choose from the available courses and institutes based on their preferences and scores. JoSAA counselling is usually conducted in the months of June and July every year.
