The Army Institute of Law (AIL) in Mohali offers two courses in the field of law:Bachelor of Arts + Bachelor of Laws (BA LLB): A five-year integrated undergraduate courseMaster of Laws (LLM): A one-year postgraduate course with specializations in Family Law or Criminal Law  Both courses are approved by the Bar Council of India and are offered in full-time mode only.  The selection process for both courses is based on the Law Entrance Test conducted by AIL Mohali. Applications for these courses are accepted online.  The institute was established in 1999 and inaugurated in 2003 by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. In 2022, India Today ranked the institute 18th for Law.
