Xavier Institute of Social Service is a top ranked B-school in India, it accepts scores from the following entrance exams for admission to its PGDM courses: CAT, XAT, CMAT. XISS Ranchi also considers other parameters such as ; an applicant's past academic record, performance in the entrance exam, group discussion, and personal interview. The weightage for each of these attributes is 20%, 40%, 10%, and 30%, respectively. Applicants can submit more than one test ID. The applicant is responsible for filling in the IDs of the test scores they wish to submit.

CAT, XAT, and CMAT scores are accepted by The Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS) Ranchi for its management courses. The overall cutoff for the CAT exam is 25–60 percentile. The overall cutoff for the XAT exam is 25–35 percentile. The cutoffs for XISS Ranchi are :1. CAT: 25 percentile for PGDRM2. XAT: 35 percentile for PGDM Marketing3. CMAT: 45 percentile for PGDM in FinanceThe eligibility criteria for admission to XISS Ranchi is a minimum of 50% marks in their qualifying examination. The eligibility criteria for admission to the Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS) Ranchi is that the candidates must have a three or four-year graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. XISS Ranchi claims to have 100% placement. However, some say that not everyone who is placed is happy with their job. The highest package offered to the MBA batch at XISS Ranchi was INR 20.50 LPA in 2021-2023. The average CTC for 2023 was INR 9.40 LPA, however, IIM Ranchi's top salary was INR 67 Lacs in 2023. The average salary for the Finance profile was INR 24.60 lakhs, for Sales and Marketing it was INR 25.40 Lacs and INR 25.10 Lacs for IT. There is no doubt that XISS is one of the best management institutions in Jharkhand. Professionals from XISS are said to have a good reputation in the corporate world.
