Hello dear student, North-Eastern Hill University is a Central University established on 19 July 1973 by an Act of the Indian Parliament. The university is in the suburb of Shillong, the state capital of Meghalaya, India. The university has two campuses: Shillong and Tura both are in Meghalaya.To be eligible for admission in M.A. program at NEHU Shillong, candidates must possess a graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks. Interested candidates can apply on the official website of the university. The university invites applications for admission to M.A.

Minimum eligibility for admission is 55%(45% for SC/ST) marks in BSc(qualifying degree) and 50% marks in exam then cutoff will decide on basis on number of candidates appeared in exam and difficulty level of exam.

Firstly you have to get 55%(45% for SC/ST) in BSc(qualifying degree).
Qualifying marks for exams is 50%.

Eligibility Criteria for Non-Meghalaya students: students must clear the 10+2 Exam with a minimum of 60 percent in the Arts stream. Eligibility Criteria for Meghalaya students: students must clear the 10+2 Exam with a minimum of 50 percent in the Arts stream. Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com), Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), and Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA). The duration of the UG Course is six semesters which is equivalent to 3 years.
