The Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU) has a total of 128 seats for the LLM programme. Candidates are admitted to the course based on CLAT score and as per the sanctioned seat intake. The seat allotment process is carried out through CLAT counselling. The mentioned seat count is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

NLU Shimla LLM admission is through CLAT exam. Hence, the aspirants are required to apply for the entrance test and stay updated with its dates. The application form was released on Jul 15 and the last date to apply is Oct 15. Candidates must submit their application on or before the prescribed deadline.

HPNLU CLAT 2024 cutoff is out. The CLAT last round closing rank was 2132 in 2024 for the LLM programme. This cutoff was for candidates belonging to the General All-India category. The cutoff for NLU Shimla LLM course in 2023 and 2022 is:Course20222023Master of Law (LLM)14922362

Candidates are shortlisted for NLU Shimla LLM course based on their score in Common-Law Admission Test (CLAT). It is a pen and paper based examination. The exam duration is two hours. There is no other provision for admission at NLUs. Moreover, after the entrance test, candidates who meet the cutoff mark can participate in the CLAT counselling.
