IHM Lucknow is much better ranked college than IHM Shillong, because of the placement and easily approachable institute, and interns are also easily available here in Lucknow because of many luxurious hotels are present near it.

The top National Institutes of Technology (NIT) are included in the global rankings. For example, the NIT Trichy has been ranked in the band of 801-1000 by the QS World University (2023). Some NITs, such as NIT Surathkal, have MoUs with foreign universities, including Michigan State University in the US. Many foreign universities recognize NIT degrees for Masters and research programs. Similarly, NIT degrees are also recognised for getting good placement in MNCs. However, NITs are not very popular among foreign students like IITs.

The basic difference between the IHM and private colleges for pursuing hotel management is that all the IHM colleges are of central government or state governments. And private colleges are affiliated by the NCHM but for your best, your 1st priority should be the IHM colleges.

Dear aspirant, Great interacting with you. In my opinion, you should go for SMIT as there is less number of students so you will get a greater opportunity to interact with the faculty and the system. Secondly, the placement scenario is almost the same Id say SMIT has a better placement record, and let's be honest in KIIT only a handful of students get good packages whilst spending about 20 Lacs. And KIIT has a good infrastructure but so does SMIT. If you have a load of money go for KIIT and get a 5 Lacs package or spend less and get more. And it completely depends on the students on how much can they and alas it depends on you. Hope it
