Dear Prasenjit Deb,
NIT-Agartala is the best option when compare with Silchar. NIT-Agartala received (last year) 36 LPA, whereas Silchar received 9.5 LPA, you can prepare for NIT-Agartala.
All the best.

NIT-Agartala is a good option and has been a good brand with very good industry oriented faculty and curriculum. NIT-Silchar is bit new and nascent and hence, does not have an edge.

For MBA, NIT-Silchar is not recommended since it's an average college.

Chances look good enough as minimum 40 percentile is required for admissions. Placements have been average at NITs, so choose accordingly.
All the best.

Hi Prasenjit,
You have a good chance to get admission in NIT, Silchar. You can also try for other NITs as well.
I hope this helps.

Hi,
It's not a good college for pursuing MBA. You can get way better colleges provided you score well in the various MBA exams. Kindly, check this link and check FAQs for complete details about the placements:

With good knowledge, you can crack these exams. Although, there are students in IIT, who scored 60 to 70% in SSC.

Both are good. You can get placed in a good firm if you opt for B.Tech in CSE from any of the two institutes.
