You can work in Singapore during your vacation as an SMU full-time matriculated foreign student with a valid student pass. Students are excluded from applying for a work permit, as specified in the Work Permit Exemptions Notification. However, after term time, a student with a legitimate student pass is only eligible to work part-time, that is, for fewer than 16 hours per week. A letter of consent from the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore or the university is not needed.Note: For more details, students can check the on and off-campus opportunities on the university website. People have mixed opinions about the MIM programs offered at the PSB Academy. On one hand, students have shared great appreciation for the highly qualified and diverse faculty, and the course pedagogy as well. On the other hand, students have reflected that the placement rate is not as great as compared to other universities in Singapore. It ultimately depends on a student's personal preference and goals whether he or she would want to go for the MIM programme at PSB Academy.
