Admission at R.M.K. Engineering College, Chennai is not so tough. B.E. / B.Tech requires the first preference of all, taken through counseling by Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission based on marks obtained in 12th-grade exams. Cutoff may vary according to the course and therefore the number of candidates for it. Computer Science and Electronics have more uptight cutoffs. Candidates from other states, too, can apply under the management quota, provided they have a certain type of eligibility. The bottom line is that good academic performance in 12th results may make a difference in obtaining admission.

Yes the Paavai Engineering College provide direct admission for the students under management quota.For each branch there are 840 students in management quota, but 15% of them are open for management quota. Students seeking admission can either go for direct admission to the college by checking the college website or physically visiting the college. Generally, admission takes place during April-May of this year, except for admission to handicap students who go through a one-year admission process. Candidates who cleared their 10+2 examinations have a pass percentage of 50% can directly apply for the B.Tech program.
