To get admission into the DNS (Diploma in Nautical Science) course at the Indian Maritime University (IMU), you cannot get direct admission by paying fees alone. The admission process involves:Entrance Exam: You are required to appear for the IMU Common Entrance Test (CET), which is conducted for admission to the DNS course.Eligibility: To be eligible for the DNS course, you must have passed your 12th with at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). Additionally, the age limit is 17 to 25 years, and you must meet medical fitness requirements.Even if you score more than 60% in your 12th, you must clear the IMU CET exam to secure admission into the DNS course.

Currently the Package offered to MBA students at MTWU lies in the range of INR 6-7 Lacs per annum. Consolidated remunerations in general average about INR 4-5 Lacs per annum for MBA students. Thus, the placement rate for MBA students is approximately about 80-90 %. Few of the leading companies in the merchant navy visiting the campus every year are HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and Axis Bank which offer jobs in the finance & Marketing department along with a human resource Development assignments. Students are placed in reputed companies to the ratio of 6:4 of more than 50 B schools or different fields as it was reported that 60–70% of B school students able to find jobs with top companies.

The college provides direct admission facility without an entrance examination, to the concerned students. To apply for BBA through direct admission at MTWU the general requirement in terms of academic performance is 45% in the 10+2 exams from any board recognised by the central government of India. Furthermore, students also have to take a physical test and also take an interview before the college admission committee. It also includes scores from the entry tests which are GUJCET and CMAT. The direct admission process usually occurs in May-June of each year. The charges that applicants have to pay as application fees for direct admission are generally up to INR 500. Direct admission takes up half to two third of the available seats, approximately.
