The most common criteria upon branch selection are the cutoff required for admission and the placements achieved upon course completion. Looking at the IIT Hyderabad placements 2024, CSE emerged as the top branch in terms of the highest package received. However, CSE is the most competitive branch with a 2024 Round 1 closing rank of 649 for the General category candidates.
