Bharathidasan University has a Main Campus (Semi-Urban) which has 631.17 acre of land. There is another campus Khajamalai Campus (Urban) which has 52.56 acre of land. Most of the academic departments and various research laboratories are located in the main Palkalaiperur Campus. Initially the main campus was located in an area of over 1,000 acres of land in Palkalaiperur. The main campus is also known to offer transportation facilities to students.

The cutoff trend for B.Tech at NIT Trichy has been increasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 1205. In 2023, it increased to 1509. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 2974 to 429 for OBC 61 to 268 for SC 11355 to 51 for ST 2142 to 241 for EWS 7 to 5 for PWDThis trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

NIT Trichy will release 7-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to BTech. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:The JEE Main score of the candidateThe category of the candidateThe number of seats available in the courseCandidates must visit the official website of entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For JEE Main Round 6 cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 1147 and closing rank was 1509 for the general category candidates under All India quota. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 2086 and 2086. Admission to Computer Science Engineering in NIT Trichy is based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

The total tuition fee for M.Tech at NIT Trichy ranges between INR 1.4 Lacs - INR 3.6 lakh. Further, the course fee includes other components such as an annual examination fee, one-time admission fee, alumni fee, etc. as well. The aspirants with a BE/BTech degree with at least 60% aggregate can apply for M.Tech at NIT Trichy. For admission to MTech, candidates must have a valid score of GATE, which shall be equal to or higher than the cutoff. Selected candidates further are called for CCMT Counselling.
